Beaglefest!!!

Today we had Beaglefest for the organization that we adopted Briggs from, BREW. It was down in Bartlet, IL. I honestly expected maybe 100 people to be there. There were twice that amount. And it was held in a doggie daycare so most dogs were unleashed. I guess some owners just let their beagles run. We were getting tired by the end because we were following Briggs the whole time. Tim says, "Is this what kind of parents we're gonna be? Following our kids around everywhere they go?" After thinking about it afterwards, I don't follow him because I'm being overprotective, I follow him because I'm protecting the other dogs from the "wrath of Briggs". ;-) But the event went well. No rain either. We met so many dogs and some of them came with their foster mommies and daddies in hopes of being adopted. The adoptable dogs had yellow scarves on that said, "Briggitte. Adopt me." They were many cute adoptable ones, but we can't get another beagle yet. Briggs had so much fun and was so poopered out on the car ride home. Our highlights of the day include meeting another beagle with the name of Briggs (how crazy is that!?!); meeting Briggsie's foster mommy, Jane; meeting Briggsie's mommy, Holly; and meeting his brother, Theodore (now Obie). It was so much fun and I just couldn't wait to post all of the pictures!!!

This sassy lady just kept on catching my eye. Not adoptable, but a tiny, sassy girl.

This is Briggsie's mommy, Holly. You can see him in her face.

This is Briggs's brother, Obie. I think they look nothing alike. They are the same size and walk/run the same, but that is it.
