Weekend Getaway

This weekend my mom and I jetted over to Fort Collins to surprise my cousin Lyndsey and Granny (my mom's mom). It was so much fun and not NEARLY as long as I would have liked it to have been. We arrived Friday evening at 4:00 pm and left again at 10 am on Sunday morning. We had one full day. Some of the highlights from the trip: Jackson went over to his great granny's house for the first time, Jackson went to his first restaurant (and slept through his first restaurant), my mom and Aunt Linnie went dancing, my mom learned how to bowl on Wii, John and I BOXED (..............on Wii again), and Jackson wore his first pair of sunglasses (which I'm sure Lyndsey and John will post on their site). But overall a GREAT weekend and I can't wait to see them again in about 3 weeks.

Old man in kindergarten

So this past Saturday was Briggs' first day in doggie obdience classes. He is a little over 5 months old right now and the other dogs were 3 months. He looked like an old man compared to them! There were two other dogs in there. A Shiba Inu named Kenji (which Tim loved and thought was a fun dog) and a Golden/Great Pyrnese named Quincy. Both seemed much better behaved them Briggsie. However, I must admit that Briggs already did know all of what she was teach them. She talked for a while and taught sit and lay down. We attempted to work on the jumping thing and the biting them. (He only bites when he plays, don't worry.)

My opened up my camera case toward the end of the class to take a photo and I left my battery at home! :-( So I didn't get a photo of his first class. But...I'll try to take one this week. And I will leave everyone with another photo just as entertaining.
